As a leading light in the vast California system of higher education, the University of California Los Angeles is world-renowned for its research and academic achievement. Following relocation to its campus south of Sunset Boulevard, the university expanded from four buildings to its present-day 163 buildings across 419 acres of property. Students are drawn to over 300 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, with over 11,000 degrees issued annually. Programs at the university are equated with future productivity and have been ranked fourth in the world by the High Impact Universities study.
A large part of the university’s success is rooted in campus life. Based within a major American city that is home to commerce, technological development, cultural life and ethnic diversity, the university offers on-campus housing that is part of its urban experience.
