Delaware is the first of the original 13 colonies and the first to ratify the Constitution and become a state on December 7, 1787.

The capitol of Delaware is the city of Dover, home of Delaware State and Wesley Colleges. In the 2000-2010 decade, the state grew by 114,000 brining the population of the state close to 900,000 inhabitants.
